Frontend React and TypeScript

level applied-in-production

Interfaces for internal systems: operational dashboards, configuration screens, complex forms, queries with heavy filtering. It is not my main specialty, and I deliver the whole end when the problem calls for it.

React is what I write when I write frontend; Angular shows up in what is older and still needs maintenance.

What backs the full-stack claim is not having touched frontend, but having written both ends of the same product. It happens in Industrial monitoring and in Customer service: same author, same period, backend and frontend.

What I do

  • Build SPAs in React with TypeScript, consuming my own API with a contract I defined myself
  • Write PWAs that work offline, for use in environments without a reliable network
  • Consume real-time updates over SignalR and reflect them on screen without reloading
  • Build forms with validation that mirrors the domain rule, without duplicating the rule
  • Work in Angular when the system is already Angular

Writing both ends changes the work

When the same author does backend and frontend, the contract does not need an alignment meeting, and there is no diverging interpretation of what a field means. It is an advantage that only shows up in small and medium products, where one person can hold both ends without becoming a bottleneck.

Angular, by inheritance

Rewriting a frontend that works into the stack I prefer is cost with no return for the business. In a large landscape, stacks living side by side is permanent, and knowing how to work well in what already exists is worth more than standardizing by taste. The use is shallower than with React: maintenance and evolution of existing applications, not architecture of new ones.

Experience

What I have not done yet

I have no production experience with Next.js or server-side rendering, I have not worked with a design system of my own at scale, and accessibility is not a domain I master. What I guarantee is delivering the interface of an internal system whole and working, integrated with the backend I wrote.
